Synthesis of Fe[Ni.sub.3] alloyed nanopatricles by hydrothermal reduction
Article Abstract:
A facile and low-cost hydrothermal method is described to synthesize stoichiometric Fe[Ni.sub.3] alloy nanoparticles by reducing Ni[(N[O.sub.3]).sub.2].6[H.sub.2]O and Fe[(N[O.sub.3]).sub.3].9[H.sub.2]O with hydrazine hydrate in strong alkaline media. The as-prepared powders are characterized by conventional techniques, which indicate the symmetric hysteresis loop behavior of ferromagnetic materials.

Kink dynamics and step growth on barium sulfate (001): A hydrothermal scanning probe microscopy study
Article Abstract:
Step growth kinetics on barium sulfate (001) is measured as a function of step length, supersaturation, and temperature. The results demonstrate that knowledge of the kink kinetics, as a function of temperature is important in testing the applicability of the classical thermodynamic model to kinetic data.
